LEVEL 3: Mike Essays Citizenship,Explanations As of April 2015, this page was a stub. Eventually this page will hold essays about a topic that is particularly important to me. Democracies are failing in the modern world because most people are not qualified to be citizens, and because our elected (and appointed by elected) officials are not qualified to run the country for us. People mostly have a good will but they are not prepared and do not take the effort to be prepared. People think they are competent to self-govern simply by being born, and this is false? What, then, is needed for us to be good citizens and good officials? Can we get there from here? In time? How do we get there from here? That is the subject of this page and its essays. The essays here might appear on other pages of the "Essays" topic page, and vice versa.
