2014 04 20 Mike Polioudakis Counting I have looked at books of counting principles, discrete mathematics, and probability. Despite working my way through them, including doing a lot of exercises, I still do not feel comfortable with counting. If I face a question such as “how many blue buttons are there?” I am still not confident. I need books that develop ideas of counting simple, progressively, logically, with many applications, and with many simple problems with answers. I need to see how the authors arrived at the answers. Don’t be afraid to recommend books that seem far too simple, such as for children.
